** How often do you get a book that has a guy writing the male POV? Not often. This book is written by Scarlett Jade and her husband, Llerxt the 13th, a whirlwind romance between a US Soldier and the girl back home he should have always loved to begin with. Loosely based on their own romance. **
64K words.
The town of Major is nothing more than a major disappointment for Zoe Parker. She is living in a grey world after the death of her beloved Momma, and can’t seem to shake the growing depression that threatens to consume her. Things only get worse when she discovers her longtime boyfriend is banging every chick in town. Her daddy is gone most nights, and all she can think about is the boy who really caught her eye in high school more than five years ago… The one with gorgeous dark skin and smoldering eyes…

Too bad he was dating her best friend. Now she floats around, moving through the daily routine with small dreams about getting away from the small town, and finding a real man to claim her heart…

Staff Sergeant Calvin Hall of the US Army is finally putting his boots back on American soil for some R&R. It’s been five years since he joined the military, and he hasn’t looked back since. After dealing with his own troubling past, he wants to lay back and enjoy some time to put it all behind him. But fate has other plans for him… A beautiful woman snags his attention the first day in town and the pull between them is too strong to resist. The problem? She is his ex-girlfriend’s best friend, she is just as broken as he is, and he has a war he has to get back to in two weeks.

Who says a summer romance ever has to end? What if thousands of miles and a war separated you? Would you keep dancing? Or would it simply be… a September Tango?

September Tango by Scarlett Jade and Llerxt the 13th

September Tango CoverI just finished September Tango by Scarlett Jade and Llerxt the 13th!  What a sweet and wonderful story!!  I love that Calvin came in and picked up the pieces for Zoe as though it was always his job to do.  There was no question, he just knew she was his.

This is definitely a Part 1, but it has a satisfying conclusion on it’s own.  I was definitley left wanting for the next in the series, though!

Just check out this description (taken from Amazon):

This is a book with a man whose eyes are opened to someone he never noticed before. Once he sees her in his home town, he can’t waste a minute. He’s on a limited time frame and he wants to secure their relationship before he goes. He wants her to wait for him, but is it fair to ask?

The woman has not had great luck and is a little wary, but she knows him, had a little crush on him in high school. She also knows he’s the type of man you can put your faith in.

I am sure you will love this story as much as I did…..AND anticipate the next story as much as I do. I really loved the dual POVs! Especially in the beginning when they see each other in the airport! I love that the POVs backtrack a little so you see what each one is thinking for the same sequence of events. Bottom line – This is a engaging story that you really want to keep going! I really don’t think you want to miss this one!!!
