About the Author:

Born and raised on the Canadian prairies, Dianne Greenlay saves lives by day (besides being a writer, she is a physiotherapist in a remote sole charge clinic as well as a retired EMT), and she tells lies by night (as any entertaining fiction writer would do). She is also a playwright and Creative Director of the very successful and long-running community theater group, Darkhorse Theatre.

As an author, she has won multiple awards for her historical action novels, Quintspinner- A Pirate’s Quest and Deadly Misfortune. Straying into the genre of humour/comedy, Greenlay is the author of The Camping Guy, which is also available as a one act comedy (live theater script).

Greenlay began writing her first novel to fulfill one of the items on her bucket list. It was either that or learn to play the bagpipes. Her husband is grateful for her choice. She is fluent in at least her mother tongue and she thanks her fierce English teachers for that.

About the Author:

An award-winning author, Jackie Weger has been writing romance novels off and on for thirty years. She’s traveled to many interesting and exotic locales from London and Paris to Panama and Costa Rica. She’s sailed on a twenty-nine foot sloop in the Pacific, volunteered at a Sisters of Mercy Mission in Colon, canoed on the Big East River in the wilds of Canada and lived part of a winter with trappers in the Louisiana swamps—collecting memories, friends and experiences—which oft times make appearances in her novels.

Writing and self-publishing enovels is a new adventure. Says Weger: “I won’t say it’s safe because half the time I don’t know what I’m doing. But, at least I don’t have to carry a machete or keep snake gun handy.”

About the Author:
I was born in Arkansas, played in Louisiana, and lived in Texas. Mostly in a small border town called Texarkana. It’s just about a mile from here to there. And you still aren’t anywhere. It’s the kind of town in which you can stand on the steps of a Baptist church and lob a rock across State Line Road to hit the front door of the liquor store. No matter how many roads you take to get out of there, it’s the kind of town that just hangs in your soul, coloring everything you do or think or say. Kind of like the small Texas town you’ll read about in A Home for Wayward Husbands. A Home for Wayward Husbands is about people surviving with the odds all against them. There’s some romance, some sex and a bit of mystery. The folks in this book are trying to keep secrets from each other and everyone knows you can’t keep a good secret in a small town. Not in any I’ve ever lived in anyway. I live with a dog and my imagination.

About the Author:

From nine to five, Julie Frayn is a mild mannered accountant. But the rest of the time, her dark, bent, writer alter-ego comes to life. When she isn’t counting beans or making things up in her head, she is mother to the two most perfect adults on the planet. She isn’t biased, just observant. When they were younger, they were perfect muses for silly poetry about smashed peas and birds with gastroenteritis.

Julie has penned two novels (Suicide City, a Love Story and It Isn’t Cheating if He’s Dead) and published one trilogy of short, short stories. Two more novels are in the works. Stay tuned for She’d Kill for Normal, and The Orphan and the Rose, both in 2014.

GIVEAWAY and REVIEW – NEVER SAY GOODBYE by T. Renee Fike!!

imageThis was one of those books that absolutely rips your heart out, but still makes everything okay in the end!  Thank goodness, because I was definitely a bit of a mess for one especially heart wrenching part!  Thank you ever so much Ms. Fike for not leaving me hanging with some type of cliffhanger!

This book definitely is one that you will be all in once you start it.  So far every book I have read by this author has pulled me in so deep without even trying. It is harsh and wonderful at the same time.

The short version of the description is that Olivia and Nathan were childhood best friends, doing absolutely EVERYTHING together, until his Dad is transferred out of state. We get this story from Liv’s (or O as Nathan calls her) POV so we know as a child she is devastated by the loss of her best friend.  Then she keeps trying to call him and is always told he is not home or not available until she stops trying and assumes he is too busy to contact her.

Luckily, Brynn moves into Nathan’s old house next doorand thankfully becomes a new best friend.  Next up, college. I just can’t say too much without ruining the way the story unfolds, but it was amazing.  You can feel the build up and sense something is coming, but then BAM it hits you right between the eyes….

This is an awesome book and you should definitely pick it up and enter the giveaway below!!

imageSynopsis:

**This contains graphic sexual content and situations suitable for readers 18+**

Liv’s childhood best friend, who she’s been inseparable from her entire childhood, moves out of state. She’s devastated and forced to move on with her life without “her everything.”

Luckily, she finds a new best friend, Brynn. These two have been best friends for so long; they decide to attend the same college as roommates.

After things don’t turn out so well with a failed relationship, Liv chooses to forgo any romantic commitments. She’s in college after all, so why not enjoy being single and free?

Brynn however is in a happy relationship and wants nothing more than for her best friend to be in one too. As much as she tries to play matchmaker, Liv refuses to be tied down. Unfortunately, when it’s least expected, someone at school makes Liv’s world turn upside-down. As much as she doesn’t want him to affect her, he does.

To make matters worse, Brynn’s boyfriend knows more about Liv then he realizes and eventually he’s able to put the pieces of her past together.

When tragedy strikes, the past and the present collide, allowing secrets to come out and change everything.

Will friendships be torn and goodbye’s said or will they keep their promise and never say goodbye?

Excerpt

I just look at him, shocked and speechless.  Here, I never once forgot about him and he looks like he can’t wait to get away from me. ME.

imageBefore I say anything he starts talking, he lets out a frustrated sign, “Yes O, I do remember you, but that was a long time ago.  You don’t know me or anything about me now,” he states surprising me.

“Why are you being so rude?” I ask confused and hurt, because it’s been so long since I’ve heard him call me by the nickname O, the one he gave to me when we were kids.

“I’m not, I just don’t want anything to do with you,” he says looking intently at me.

“Why not?” I can’t believe he’s being this mean, this guy, one I freaking would have done anything for, and here he is being rude and wants nothing to do with me.  What the hell did I do to him?

“Like I said, I’m not that stupid little boy anymore.  We know nothing about one another and I don’t want to know you.  Stay away from me,” he says harshly.

I feel like I want to cry, but I won’t do that in front of him.  Instead I look him dead in the eyes, “You grew up and became an asshole,” and then I storm off towards the library, never looking back.

BOOK BLITZ!!!! Banded Together by Hilary Storm

ADD TO GOODREADS

Synopsis

You’ve asked for them, some have even begged for more of the Walker twins. ‘Banded Together’ is a continuation of the Rebel Walking Series that will give you insight on Talon and Eaven’s wedding as well as the rest of the characters in the series. Taron and Ivy are not left out of this one and you’ll quickly see the banter between them remains.

The previous books in the Rebel Walking Series should be read before this one for the best experience and optimal character development.

Excerpt

“Hey, baby, I can’t wait ‘til you’re officially Mrs. Walker.”  His deep whisper pulls me out of my almost asleep state.  I roll over to face him and even though it’s dark, I watch his face.  Nose to Nose.

“I’m already yours.  You know this.”  So much has happened since he proposed.  We were going to wait another year, but Talon is ready to make it official.  I love his urgency—I’m ready, too—but I don’t want to rush it with everything that’s going on with the band and the trial.

Rebel Walking lost their spot on the tour when Taron was arrested.  We’ve spent the last five months, either in court or in limbo, waiting for something to happen.  A few months ago Taron was released from all charges, but the Walker’s haven’t rested while the trial for Dylan has been on going.  Luckily, this morning he was found guilty on multiple counts of attempted rape, attempted murder and countless other offenses. He will be spending many years in prison, which is where he belongs.

The instant relief when the verdict was read was so peaceful.  We should be celebrating, but everyone is too exhausted to do anything today.

“I know, but I want the world to know.”

“They do.  Are you kidding me?  We’re always together.”

“We could just do something small at the lake house.  We could walk down to the beach and get married next to the water—just have our family and the crew there to share it with us.  Avery can be the flower girl.  I’d have Taron, Holden, and Luke on my side and of course you’d have Ivy, Lilly, and Macy on yours.”

“You have this all planned out, don’t you?”  I sit up in bed and begin to think of all the stuff I’ll need to do to pull this off.

“All of the important stuff, I do.”  He rolls onto his back, pulling my hands toward him.  “Come here, baby.”

I work my way into a straddle on top of the man who holds my whole heart.  “We’re not going to stress over this.  Let’s just keep it simple.”  I let his words soak in.  I can’t wait to be Mrs. Talon Walker and it really isn’t my style to have a huge wedding, anyway.  I figured he would’ve wanted one, but I’m relieved he doesn’t.
“Simple.  I like it.”  His hands begin to roam over my body and I take the opportunity to rotate my hips just right so that he feels my warmth.  Sleeping naked has its benefits.

“You wicked, wicked woman.  Don’t you dare tease me.”  His fingers pinch my nipples as he thrusts upward, reminding me what he’s packing.  His erection moves right where I want it to.
“Oh, I’m not teasing.”  My breathy voice amuses him.
“What’s so funny?”  This time it’s my impatience that’s obvious.
“You’re always so ready for me.  You never disappoint.”

“Damn straight.  Have you ever seen yourself?”  I lower my mouth to his chest and begin nibbling over his chest and neck.  His hands continue to roam over my body, sending chills in every direction.  My hair falls over my face and he uses his hand to swipe it to one side.  I feel his hand leave me and his body stretch toward the nightstand right before he flicks on the light.
He loves to watch me during sex.  It strikes me to the depths of my soul when he does this.  His stare pierces straight through my body the entire time.  It’s raw and so real, but I love it.

I lift my torso back up and watch him tuck his arms beside his head.  My fingers run over and through the ridges of his defined stomach.  He works hard to stay sculpted and I never miss the opportunity to truly appreciate his efforts.

My fingers follow the muscles straight to where our hips meet.  I slowly lift my hips and enjoy that his shaft lifts to the exact spot I need it to be.  Sliding down onto him, I close my eyes and love the feeling of him filling me completely.  With my hands splayed across his abs, I begin to move slowly.

My focus on how he feels is consuming me.  I open my eyes to watch him, not surprised when I find him staring deep into my eyes.  Keeping my eyes locked with his, I continue my motions.  He allows me to move completely on my own; I love when he gives me control.
