Then her boyfriend dumps her, her friendships fall apart, and her parents cut her off. Suddenly without money, without a man, and without a plan, it’s time for Jan to grow up.
Determined to get her life back on track, Jan decides it’s time to make it on her own. Can she find her way as a single lady in San Diego? Can she fix her friendships, her job prospects, and her hair? And can she keep her vow that she’ll never date again, even after she meets a guy who just might be perfect for her?
BETWEEN BOYFRIENDS is a sexy, hilarious story of living life, finding love, and growing up… but not necessarily in that order.
I am so excited to be reviewing this book from Sarka-Jonae Miller! I have been hearing about it and I was thrilled to get the chance to read it. I just knew she would be a fabulous writer!
In the beginning of this book you are ready to roll your eyes at Jan and how whiney and immature she is. This book is no holds barred when it comes to revealing Jan’s thoughts both good and bad. We all have uncharitable thoughts that we would never actually say out loud, but still think them.
I absolutely loved following Jan through her humbling journey in the book. I couldn’t wait to see where she ended up, if she would grow a conscience and start treating people decently. I am happy to say she did……eventually…..
This book takes you through her struggle to learn to fend for herself and the friends that were harsh when they needed to be and helped her get back on her feet. I am so excited for the next book in this series to see where it goes from here, because I have a feeling that it will be even better! This book does not have a cliffhanger, per se, but the story is definitely not over. It has that nice wrap up with the possibility for bigger and better things!
